One of the most joyous things about being a mom is watching your daughter grow into the world. She starts interacting with things and people outside of herself in ways that only she can. She is so new to everything and everyone, and she is curious about it all. Our good friends have a daughter who is about to turn 3 this summer, and she and Corgan have been spending a lot of time together. It is absolutely enchanting to watch!
Lily, our friends' daughter, is obsessed with dolls, so I think she sees Corgan as a doll that moves, but the idea that these two will be spending their formative years growing and learning with each other is fabulous. We share many of the same values and parenting routines with Lily's parents, so she is a well behaved, but 'knowing' toddler. I get a warm feeling inside to know that my daughter is lucky enough to have a friend to grow up with.
